Loft is able to adapt quickly to variations in internet speed. It follows the steps below:

  1. First, it starts changing the quality of the video feeds.
  2. Once it is not possible to keep the connection stable with reasonable quality with all the video feeds open, Loft starts turning off the feeds of other people.
  3. If the connection quality goes down even more, then finally turns off the feed being sent to other users keeping an audio-only connection.

If you are in a situation where users can see you but you can hear only audio, you are in point number two of this optimization process.
